Yin and Deyen
Yin and Deyen
We are excited to come together on September 26 & 27 to offer a two-evening urban retreat in honour of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation:
An Invitation to Transform:
Yin Yoga & Indigenous Ways of Being & Knowing
September 26 & 27, 2026 | 5–8 PM
Casa Copal | Vancouver
Together, Chastity Davis-Alphonse of Deyen – An Invitation to Transform and Danielle Hoogenboom of Love Light Yoga are creating an embodied experience that weaves Yin Yoga with Indigenous Ways of Being and Knowing, making space for rest, reflection, relationship, story, movement and connection.
We have intentionally chosen to gather in the days leading into the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Reconciliation is not only something we talk about or intellectually understand. It is relational.
It invites us to slow down, to listen differently, to be present with ourselves and with one another, and to consider how we might live in better relationship.
Over these two evenings, we will invite you into that space through our respective practices, teachings and lived experiences, creating an opportunity to connect with ourselves, with one another, and with different ways of being and knowing.
This gathering will be intimate, gentle and welcoming. You do not need to be an experienced Yogi to join us. All levels welcome.
September 26 & 27, from 5–8 PM on Squamish, Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh Lands, often referred to as Vancouver we gather at Casa Copal which is located at 2291 West Broadway.
Please join us for either or both days. $111 for one day, $199 for both.

We look forward to gathering with you. Email Danielle@lovelightyoga.com with any further questions.
Sister Ticket — Pay It Forward
If you are able, we invite you to purchase a Sister Ticket to help make this gathering accessible to an Indigenous person who may not otherwise be able to attend due to financial barriers.
Your contribution will pay forward a place in our circle and is a small but meaningful act of reciprocity, relationship and reconciliation.
Thank you for helping us create space for Indigenous community members to join us.
