Join Danielle and Chastity on this retreat to explore reconciliation through the practices of yin yoga and heart centred leadership.

Our retreat takes place November 1-4 at beautiful Stowel Lake Farm on Salt Spring Island. You will practice yoga looking out at the stunning panoramic views from the Gatehouse, dine on farm-to-table meals prepared just for us, and relax in one of the farm's cozy accommodations in the evenings. We are so looking forward to hosting Yin & Reconciliation at this healing venue! If you've visited before, wait until you see the autumn colours!

Salt Spring is part of the traditional territory of the Saanich, Cowichan, and Chemainus First Nations, and aboriginal use of the island dates back at least 5,000 years.

This retreat includes:

  • Shared accommodations for 3 nights

  • 3 organic vegan meals per day, all dietary restrictions can be accommodated

  • Welcome package and all program fees

  • At least 2 yoga classes per day, morning and evening yin asana

  • Presentation, discussion, and facilitated group work

  • Relaxed time to explore the grounds of Stowel Lake Farm

  • Course materials

This retreat offers space for connection, reflection, and integration. We will tap into our heart centres as we reimagine the nature of reconciliation. We will ask ourselves, "what do I need to reconcile within myself?" as we consider collective reconciliation. Yin yoga serves as a medium for integration and new awareness, enlivening stuck energy and old holding patterns in order to enact transformative change within ourselves and the world around us. Yin yoga invites us to navigate the uncomfortable as we ask, "what does it mean to lead from my heart?"

You can expect a morning yin asana and meditation practice, followed by a light breakfast and free time to connect and relax. . After an organic vegan lunch, the group will meet to engage in dialogue, reflection, and presentations around the topic of reconciliation, leading into a second yin asana practice. In the evenings we will gather for a healing dinner, followed by a cozy evening activity. One evening will also include a sacred ceremony.

This retreat is open to everyone and very accessible for yoga beginners. This offering can be taken as a retreat, 20 hour CEU credits for existing yoga teachers, or as hours towards a full 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Love Light Yoga School. Participants can be issued a certificate of completion for any option under Love Light Yoga School. Love Light School is a registered yoga school with Yoga Alliance.
